| Playa los Naranjos, Bahía
Concepción There's not a picture of it in the book, so here are a couple taken on a low-tide morning in April 2008. Good pitch, hard sand/stone surface, plenty deep at high tide, fairly sheltered from north winds and waves but completely exposed to south. The folks at nearby the Playa Frambes resort said early in 2008 that a small harbor was going in. A long channel has indeed been dug with the entrance just north of the point. We'll see about docks. Incidentally, the small boarding float added to the end of the pier next to the ramp near the Serenidad was still in place and functional in late April 2008. ![]() ![]() |
| New
Loreto Ramp A couple of low-tide shots of the new ramp in the Loreto harbor. Unfortunately, the new one isn't much better than the old one and still unusable at low tide. But hey, it's free, and you can launch pretty much anything at high tide. ![]() ![]() |
| Santa Rosalillita The new SINGLAR installations at Puerto Escondido, Santa Rosalía and San Felipe have lowered their prices to something resembling reasonable and it looks like people may actually use them. The same cannot be said of the Santa Rosalillita marina on the Pacific side. Following are some pictures from March 2008. Guess that's what happens when you "put the cart before the horse" as developers--both public and private--so often do in Baja. Think of the money wasted! It must be at least in the tens of millions of dollars... ![]() ![]() Launch ramp and ungodly expensive travel lift: ![]() Fuel dock: ![]() Administrative building: ![]() Yep... ![]() |
